Chauncey Malone	RB/DB	6'0"/183	4.4	West Morgan HS Trinity, AL	Expected to play DB; has been a starter on offense and defense since 9th grade; as freshman, he ran for 702 yds & 11 TDs on 81 carries; as sophomore, had 1523 yds & 19 TDs on 158 carries; in just 6 games in jr. season, he gained 875 yds & 12 TDs on 82 carries; best rushing night came as sophomore when he scored a TD every time he carried the ball - he finished with 5 carries for 250 yds & 5 TDs; That same season, he had 6 ints, 3 of those ints came in 1 game, and returned 2 of them for TDs; was selected All-Area and honorable mention All-State as sophomore; last season was All-Area & generally considered 1 of the state's top 10 prospects; selected Alabama over Auburn, but will likely start out in a Junior College

Jr. College Ellisville, MS	Helped lead Jones CC to the state championship by making 44 tackles & 7 ints; in the state title game he had 6 tackles & an int, and blocked a FG to help Jones defeat Mississippi Delta 22-6; "I'm ball hungry," Scott says in describing his style of play. "I love man coverage. I want to pick off every ball that comes my way. I'm a very aggressive corner."

"Their offer to him is that he can sign this February and sit out next fall to continue rehabbing the knee. He would join the team in January of 2003 and be ready for the 2003 season."; in his last game leading up to the injury, he had 280 yds rushing & 5 TDs & made 16 tackles from his LB spot; in 5 games total, he had over 800 yds rushing & made 86 tackles

Brodie Croyle	QB	6'3"/185	4.71	Westbrook Christian HS Rainbow City, AL	A SuperPrep All-America, became the 1st player to commit to Alabama in the Fanchione era; was also a Birmingham News Super Senior Pick; missed his senior season with an ACL injury, passed for 9323 yards and 105 TDs, both Bama state records during his prep career; also holds the state reccord for passing yards in a single game (528), passing yards in a season (3787), TD passes in a season (44) and TD passes in a agame (7, a tie); graduated early and enrolled in Alabama in January in order to particpate in spring drills; was considered by many to be the #1 high school prospect in the nation; Croyle, who has starred at Westbrook Christian since the 8th grade, passed for 2828 yards and 38 TDs as a junior; had only 7 ints all season; holds 9 Alabama passing records; for his career he had complete 524 of 997 passes for 9323 yards with 105 TDs and 37 ints. His father John, played for Bear Bryant and his sister, Reagan, was homecoming queen and star basketball player for the Tide's women's team; chose Bama over LSU, FSU, and Oklahoma.

Marquez Dupree	RB	6'0"/215	4.5	Philadelphia HS Philadelphia, MS	Son of former Oklahoma star Marcus Dupree, rushed for 1305 yards and 17 YTs last season; played one snap on defense and turned that play into a 77-yard int return for a TD; was a 3-time All-State pick and earned high school All-America honors in 1999 and 2000; Philadelphia finished the season at 10-2; as a junior, despite missing half the season with a knee injury, still rushed for 890 yards and 13 scores; once scored 6 TDs in a game; as baseball player, earned MVP honrs as a sophomore and junior and set the school record for most HRs in a season; also participated in track, turning in a 10.3 time in the 100 meter dash. Chose Bama over Miss St, S. Miss, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss.

Bowens' brother, Tim, is a former Tide WR; his 1/2-brother, LB Freddie Roach, is one of the Tide's 2001 HS signees; "I really wanted to play with Freddie again" ; The past 2 seasons, he played TE and DE at E.Central MS CC; he caught 12 passes for 144 yards and a TD as a freshman; Bowens chose the Tide over Auburn & Miss St; Brooks prepped at Brooks HS in Killen, AL
Brandon Brooks	WR	5'5"/155	4.29	Shades Valley HS Birmingham, AL	Shades Valley All-purpose back starred as a kick returner and WR; as a senior he returned kicks and played WR, RB, and CB as his team went 8-5 on the season; had 108 carries for 725 yards and 10 TDs and caught 13 passes for 325 yards and 5 TDs; returned 6 punts for 121 yards and a TD; on D, had 52 tackes and 6 ints; over the past 2 seasons Brooks returned 7 punts for TDs and averaged 21.5 yards per return; he recently defended his state indoor 55-meter championship with a 6.43 clocking; won the state championship last year in the indoor 55-meters with a time of 6.51; last spring, he finished 4th in the state in the 100 meters with a 10.8 clocking.

Donald Clarke	TE	6'6"/260	4.8	Ft. Scott C.C.
